Failure Comes With Success

A few words that pop into my head when I think of the word success:

-Goals

-Self-improvement

-Achievement

-Growth

-Wealth

-Satisfaction

Success isn't always simple. it comes with many bumps in the road. Literature tells stories about people who faced difficulties and setbacks before succeeding. These stories teach us that obstacles are common and that we can overcome them to become stronger. Literature also helps us to understand success more realistically by demonstrating that it doesn't always occur in a clear-cut manner. Fictional characters may achieve success in a variety of contexts and ways, which challenges us to consider success more broadly. These stories teach us valuable lessons about developing as people and accepting responsibility for our mistakes. Rather than just following what everyone else thinks, they encourage us to consider our own values and what success means to us individually. Literature helps us understand that success is a journey with ups and downs, and it's okay to face challenges along the way. I recently read the book "Wolfpack" by Abby Wombach, a well respected retired American soccer player. As a soccer player, this book was very insightful to me because in soccer, as in life, setbacks and mistakes are inevitable. Wambach points out the significance of accepting failure and viewing it as a chance for development. Soccer players, like myself, may develop a more strong mindset by seeing setbacks as opportunities to grow and learn. This book was really helpful to read after I was starting every game and suddenly was getting 0 minutes. It made me realize that players who can bounce back from setbacks and adjust their mindset are better equipped to face challenges both in sports and life.
